Music & Circus - Addis Acoustic project, Circus Ethiopia and Mahari Brothers, top line up to celebrate Addis Ababa heritage in collaboration with Addis Woubet. Drinks and snacks on sale, one free drink if you get there before 3pm. From 3-6pm, Alliance outdoors. Tickets Birr 50 (students and under 16 years Birr 20) or join Addis Woubet for a year free for Birr 100 and get a free entrance.

Photograph Exhibition, “Humanity in War”, organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross and the African Union Commission. Pictures from 8 conflict-affected countries - Afghanistan, Colombia, DRC, Georgia, Haiti, Lebanon, Liberia and the Philippines by 5 award-winning photographers from the VII Photo Agency - James Nachtwey, Ron Haviv, Franco Pagetti, Chris Morris and Antonin Kratchovil. It commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Geneva Conventions (1949) and the 150th anniversary of the battle of Solferino which gave birth to both the International Movement of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent, and international humanitarian law. The ICRC’s Marsema says: “All photos are taken by award-winning photographers and the themes are so meaningful that this exhibition really deserves to be visited!”. Opening hours: 8am-1pm & 2pm-5pm, free. AU Conference Hall, New Bldg, 2nd floor. (N.B. ID cards required at AU Entrance Gate).
